Meet Roxanne Grant

Roxanne Grant is a writer for The GEM Journal. Grant’s background as an educator and playwright, along with her years working in hospitality, gives Grant a unique insight into the guest perspective.

Grant’s writing has been featured on stages from Miami to London. The Stephen Sondheim Society honored Grant as a two-time Stiles + Drewe songwriting finalist, and her work in television earned Grant a Telly Award and Emmy nomination. A professionally trained actor, Grant can easily tap into human emotion, giving her the ability to empathize with any audience. She has performed in hundreds of plays and musicals, and established theatre programs for thousands of students across South Florida. Her diverse background lends to a unique writing style that captures the guest experience with an authentic voice.

Grant completed conservatory training at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City, then later graduated from the Communication and Media program at City University of New York. Her songs have been featured on Discovery Channel, National Geographic, TLC, and hit series Smallville. Grant’s acting work has graced many stages and screens, but her most significant role has been serving as caregiver for her mom.
